Summer Fun, Continued

We actually are still doing fun projects, I just haven't blogged about them... mostly because I just haven't had time to take pictures of them. I know! That is so unlike me. I'll try to get it together. ;)

Last week was filled with all sorts of fun activities: a puppet show, playdate at the park, a fun morning at the lake, swimming with the whole family and Kidzu's Popsicles on the Plaza. Fun! We also made this cookies and cream ice cream which was truly amazing.

I was sick the first half of this week, so we are just now getting out and about for the week. We did our weekly garden check out by Rodger and Angela's this morning. The garden was so happy after a full night of rain, so we weeded, talked to our plants (Adelle: "Squash! You are looking lovely this morning!"), and fertilized with something organic that could probably pass for polyjuice potion. We JUST ran out of homemade pickles yesterday and one of their neighbors had some of his garden goodies out for sale this morning so we scored some organic cukes from the same garden the community shares. Nice. Pickles and some pickled jalapenos are already made and in the fridge. We stopped by the library on the way home this morning, which is always fun.

Adelle and I made (and ate) a particularly yummy batch of guacamole today. And yes, it's already gone. ;)

Family comes in for the weekend on Friday, but we'll probably still head out to the lake to play with new friends on Friday morning. I really will try to take pics this week. I am usually glued to my camera. Just to tide you over, here's a cute shot of the girls from the lake last week.
